Silence........Good One

Hi Friends,

Have you ever experienced a moment in your life when you just ran out of words and you go...
s i l e n t ???

Let me assist you in recalling...

... the moment when you left your home for the first time and you look back at your parents who are worried that their son/daughter are leaving them yet happy that their child took the first step towards independence.

.... the moment when the girl/boy you like most.. smiled back at you!

You don't say anything.. you just smile back..

.... the moment when you get better marks than you expected... those "numb" moments of ecstasy n surprise "is that true?"...

.... the moment when you are parting with your old friend(s) and the train has just started... and you are standing on the door of the wagon.. waving "bye-bye" with your heart beating fast...

.... the moment after the HR manager has just called you and told you,"You are through! Congrats!"

.... the moment when you sit alone in your room after having told everyone that you cleared that exam you prepared for 6 months!!

You can go on remembering your "special" moments!

I had always wondered why I never said anything to myself at those moments.. as if it was "understood"... happiness, joy, pain.. all feelings just flowed ceaselessly in the 'years' that passed in those flash moments!

They say.. the best way to communicate is through "silence".

Love. Joy. Grief. Surprise. Anger. Hope. Expectations. Support.

Non-cooperation...

Can you imagine the importance of a silent moment in a song??

When Bryan Adams stops for a while along with music, before he goes on in his husky voice...

... Please forgive me. I can't stop loving you!

Ever had those moments when you thought you were tired
enough that you reach for your bed after dinner.. but find yourself wide awake looking at the roof of your room silently...

But you sure are 'thinking'... those moments of self-talk are the most important in our lives. Those moments when we listen to our own hearts! Those promises... those decisions... those are the moments when we make our destinies!

Next time you go silent... listen carefully to what your heart is saying.. listen to its joy...listen to its pain..
listen to its fears.. listen to its desires..

Don't make it shut up and go off to sleep...

LISTEN TO THAT VOICE and ACCEPT EVERYTHING IT SAYS!

That voice alone can lead you to the abode of peace that your lacks... peace that awaits
you!

Difference between "SOMEONE U LOVE" AND "SOMEONE U LIKE"

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN "SOMEONE U LOVE" AND "SOMEONE U LIKE"

  • In front of the person u love, ur heart beats faster. But in front of the person u like, u get happy.

  • In front of a person u love, winter seems like a spring. But in front of a person u like, winter is just a beautiful winter.

  • If u look into the eyes of the one u love, u blush. But if u look into the eyes of the one u like, u smile.

  • In front of a person u love, u can't say anything on ur mind. But in front of a person u like, u can.

  • In front of the one u love, u tend to get shy. But in front of the one u like, u can show ur own self.

  • U can't look straight into the eyes of the one u love. But u can always smile into the eyes of the one u like.

  • When the one u love is crying, u cry with him. But when the one u like is crying, u end up comforting him.

  • The feeling of love starts from the eye. But the feeling of liking starts from the ear.So if u stop liking a person u used to like, all uneed to do is close ur ears.

Time to say good-bye to your Laptops

Amazing technology from Japan . . . . but can you guess what it is ?

Look closely and guess what they could be...

Are they pens with cameras?

Any wild guesses? No clue yet?
Ladies and gentlemen...

congratulations!
You've just looked into the future... yep that's right!
You've just seen something that will replace your PC in the near future.
Here is how it works:

In the revolution of miniature computers, scientists have made great developments with bluetooth technology...
This is the forthcoming computers you can carry within your pockets .

This "pen sort of instrument" produces both the monitor as well as the keyboard on any flat surfaces from where you can carry out functions you would normally do on your desktop computer.

Can anyone say, "Good-bye laptops!"

Discover the 90/10 Principle

Discover the 90/10 Principle.

What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.

What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.

We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.

We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.

How? By your reaction.

You cannot control a red light. But you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.

Let's use an example.

You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.

What happens next will be determined by how you react.

You curse.

You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.

Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit.

After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home.

When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.

Why? Because of how you reacted in the morning.

Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?

The answer is "D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.

Here is what could have and should have happened.

Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "Its ok honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?

Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.

Why?

Because of how you REACTED.

You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.

Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you!

React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them?

WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?

Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.

You are told you lost your job.

Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take outpour frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on.

Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse..

Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.

The result?

Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.

It CAN change your life!!!

Falling hair and dandruff solution

Falling hair

  • Soak methi (fenugreek) seeds and curry leaves in coconut oil, overnight. Next morning warm it a little and massage it on to your scalp. The massage should be gentle, yet it should leave your scalp tingling. Rinse off with a herbal shampoo. Alternatively you could rinse it with the juice of crushed red hibiscus leaves. Follow this regularly for best results. It will keep your scalp healthy and prevent hair fall.

  • Mix as per your hair length, castor oil, olive oil and coconut oil in equal measures. Warm and massage on to your scalp. This will arrest hair fall and promote hair growth.

  • Boil dried pieces of amla in coconut oil. After it cools, mix in a few drops of lemon juice and massage on to scalp. This will stop hair loss and also help in hair growth.

  • If you can tolerate the smell of mustard oil here’s a remedy. Boil mustard oil and while it is boiling, keep adding fresh henna, basil and curry leaves to it. After the leaves are burnt black, switch off the gas. Cool, strain and use twice to thrice a week for best results.

  • Extract the milk of freshly grated coconut. Apply it to your scalp and wash it off with the hibiscus leaf extract mentioned above. Coconut milk is a great of nourishment for your scalp. Coconut milk can be applied to infants’ scalp too.

Dandruff

  • Prepare this hair pack and apply regularly on a weekly basis to prevent dandruff as well as hair loss. In a bowl of warm coconut oil, quantity as per your hair length, add an egg with the yolk and a tbsp of lemon juice. Blend well and massage on scalp. Rinse off with a mild shampoo.

  • Prepare an extract of aloe vera gel. Add lime juice to it and apply to your scalp. Rinse well with cool water. Warm coconut oil and add lemon juice to it. Massage on to your scalp and cover it with a hot, moist towel. Wash with mild shampoo after an hour. Follow this practise regularly till you see results.

  • Add a tbsp of vinegar to warm coconut oil and massage on to your scalp. Rinse off after an hour. After which apply a solution of water and lemon juice to your scalp. Leave it for 10 minutes and rinse off with cold water. It will leave your hair squeaky clean, shiny and if done regularly free you from dandruff.

Fashion, clothes and style tips

Fashion Tips

Dress Slim

Go monochrome

Monochromatic dressing (one colour from head to toe) makes anyone look taller and slimmer. Tone-on-tone colouring was a key trend on the runways for spring and is a style that makes anyone leaner.

Get a leggy look

Legs will look longer and slimmer if you always closely match your hose to your shoes and skirts. For a print skirt, use the background colour to find hose in a similar tone.

Hosiery tips

Two-tone shoes pose a dilemma when selecting hosiery. Always wear a neutral colour hose or match your hosiery to the lighter colour in the shoes. Never wear nylons that are darker than the lightest colour in the shoes.

Clothes Tips

Fresh scents

Scented waters, such as lavender water, are a great way to infuse a heavenly, yet subtle smell into your clothing. Add scented water to an iron, and on steam setting, gently waft over clothing. A great tip for clothes that have been in storage for the season.

Bra dilemma

Does the underwire in your bra ?ways poke through after a few wearings? t cold be the way you are storing them. Hanging bras on a hook in your closet prevents the underwire from getting twisted and pulled, as it would in a dresser drawer.

Perfect purchase

If you find a pair of black pants or a skirt that are the perfect fit, consider buying more than one pair. Black tends to fade after a while, but with two pairs of the same pants, the wear and tear takes longer. And black matches with everything!

Spot remover

Trying to remove a stain from your favourite suede jacket or skirt? Lightly rub over the stain with an emery board to get rid of the spot.

Static cling control

Need a quick way to fight static on your clothes? Carry a dryer sheet with you in your purse ? rub it on the underside of your skirt or pantyhose to keep your clothes static free.

Fast fix for loose buttons

Losing the button off your jacket but don't have time to sew it back on? Use a dab of clear nail polish to seal the threads onto the center of the button as a temporary solution.

Keep clothes fresh

Before you put your clothes away for the winter, insert a fabric softener sheet, lavender sachet or to keep them smelling fresh for next season.

Jeans Appeal

Denim is everywhere this season, from the hat on your head to the shoes on your feet, and yet finding the perfect pair of jeans still overwhelms us.

Choosing classic or trendy

If you live in your jeans, classic styles like relaxed fit transfer well from year to year. If you prefer a hipper look, the must-haves for women are anything super-low. What's great about them is that because they sit on your hips, they work for many different body types.? you're a little on the shy side, try a pair of boy-cut jeans, which won't reveal as much of your mid-section.

Feeling the stretch

Another trend this season is the body-hugging jean, emphasizing a sleek and sexy look. With the renewed popularity of stretch denim this fall, there's something for everyone.

The beauty of stretch is that you can wear your jeans a lot tighter without sacrificing comfort. It makes low rise jeans, for example, much easier to wear as they hug your body and don't feel as rigid as they move with you.

Working with your body

Just because a pair of jeans looks great on your same-size friend doesn't mean they are right for you. Like with any piece of clothing, you really need to try jeans on to see how they work.

If you have curvy hips and are proud of them, Clarkson suggests a super-low boot-cut jean, which sits well on the hips and shows off your figure. Women who want a little room in the thighs and calves should look at styles that don't hug the body, such as relaxed fit or boy-cut jeans. And for extra room in the seat, try jeans with a low waist, low pockets and a bit of a flare a?und the ankle.

Singing the blues

With a large variety of washes, choosing the ideal shade for your blue jeans can be tricky. But thanks to this season's to-dye-for look, your task may be easier. "The must-have colour is simply dark with a lot of texturing," notes Clarkson. Look for inky indigos, which can be dressed down for casual wear and dressed up for a night out. To keep your dark denim looking its best, try washing your jeans inside out in cold water and not using the full dry cycle.

Of course you want your jeans to look good, but remember that they should feel good as well.

StyleTips

Style is the way you put together clothes, not the clothes themselves. There is something to be said for picking clothes you won't get sick of but that feel good.

  • Unless you don't mind getting rid of certain items every season, stay away from overly trendy pieces when shopping for your basic wardrobe.

  • Don't pick everything you see in magazines. Pick what looks and feels better on you. This comes with being honest and true to yourself.

  • Wear what's right for your body type and don't be a slave to fashion

  • No matter how hoochie koochi you get with Gucci, no matter how breathless you become in a Prada dressing room, no matter how cute a pair of Chanel eyelet hotpants are, if a particular style is unflattering on you, you can look, well, tacky!!!

  • Your wardrobe should show your personality, not the personality of the store's salesperson.

Clothes say more about you than you can imagine.

Buy Clothes to suit Your Shape

Layout your clothes before putting them on and check the proportions. Juggle jackets, scarves & belts to re-arrange the clothes to get the look you want.

  • Thinner fabrics are more slimming.
  • Tops and bottoms of one color will make you look thinner.
  • Wear clothes that fit.
  • Wearing too large clothes will exaggerate your figure not hide it.
  • Avoid belts unless you have a slim waist.
  • Use accessories carefully.

You can make your wardrobe impressive with mix and match jewelry.

Shoes depend less on you body shape than you height. Do not buy clothes on impulse. Plan before you buy a blouse or pants. Be somewhat scientific about shopping, consider your body type, and colors.

Ask your self some questions;

  • Do you have anything you can mix and match with it? Does it match your lifestyle?
  • Will it be comfortable, nonchalant, and easy to wear?
  • Is it machine wash or dry clean only?
  • Will it fit your budget? Is it appropriate?
  • Is it a fad, can it be worn more than one season?
  • Is it of good quality? Quaity cunts, it is better to have four or five mix and match out fits of quality, than 8 or 10 'steals.'
Think in terms of outfits when you shop, and be practical. When you buy a new dress, be sure you have shoes and other accessories to go with it. Maybe a jacket or scarf to wear over it to give it a different look.

Clothes Styles and Body Shapes

  • High collars shortens necks.
  • Tight tops with short sleeves and breast pocket is detracting from your figure. Shoes with straps shortens your legs. The torso can be shortened or narrowed with seam lines, belts, bows, and collars.
  • A short necklace can shorten your neck.
  • A scarf or belt that hangs down toward the legs will make the legs appear longer. Knitted texture, lace, floras, prints, and plaids can assist in creating an illusion.
  • Thicker vertical lines in plaids lengthens and slims.
  • Wear a larger print where you want people to look and smaller print where you do not want them to look.
  • An all over print can camouflage figure problems, but prints here and there can create a ful?r you.
  • Prints around the neck and over the shoulder can make your shoulders appear wider. Just wear prints near the parts of your figure's assets, because they are usually more eye catching than a solid color.
  • When buying pants be sure they fit well. Defects are emphasized in a pair of pants that may go unnoticed in a skirt.

Petite women.

Petite women need to keep clothes in line, slim narrow belts. A slight contrast in colors and fitted lines will flatter you endlessly. Also stay with fabrics that are soft and flowing that fits well. Over powering prints should be avoided.

Tall women.

Tall women can indulge in wide belts, avoid tight clothes and skirts that?are to short or to long. Beauty expert Stephanie Faber recommends tall women play down their waist by wearing their blouses over the pants and skirts and avoid tight belts.

Hip heavy triangle woman.

A hip heavy triangle and round full figured women can use clothes with vertical lines to make an up and down illusion. V-necks and skirts with slits up the sides are also good. Clothes with small padded shoulders should be chosen . Too big of pads will make you look like a foot ball player. Wear long tops that go passed your hips. Choose jackets, tailored suits and shirtwaist dresses with straight, classic cuts. Lighter colors on top can be worn, this brings eyes up. Wear dark stockings and avoid patterns. Select vertical, fluid patterns and avoid bulky fabrics. Adopt the
just below the knee look in dresses and skirts. Choose accessories close to the same color clothes you are wearing including shoes. This gives your body an unbroken slimmer look. Avoid very wide pinafore skirts. Stay with straight or Aline skirts.

Top heavy woman.

The top heavy body types need to choose long jackets without shoulder pads. Do not wear blouses with fancy details and ruffles. Do not wear clingy fabrics on top, choose d?ker colors on top. Do not wear ops tht are to light. Tops with dolman or raglan sleeves and ones that fit loose and slims down to hug the hips and waist are good. Wear pants or skirts that are pleated to bring the eye down. Choose thin materials like cotton, or cotton jersey. One color dressing will also be thinning. Flat shoes are best unless you are short, then wear heels. If your legs are in good shape shorter hem lengths will draw attention away from your top.

Rectangular type woman.

The rectangular type can accentuate curves by wearing jackets or tops that hug the waist, feminine thick sweaters over skirts or pants. Use patterns in your tops or bottoms to add dimension. Round out the neckline with necklaces, scarves and other accessries, and use shoulder pads.
